Bronco Labor Day Trail Report:

Intermediate Class

Short summary of our Intermediate group ride at the Bronco Labor Day Ride event on Aug 31st at Red River Gorge. I thought it was a great day and as usual we had an awesome group of people we hit Spaas Creek, Pumpkin Hollow, Fincastle then we finished it off with Hells Creek. Everyone did awesome we even meet some new jeep friends that tagged along with us to fincastle. The day started off dry and really sunny. Then about mid Spaas Creek it started to rain a little but nothing serious. The little rain we did have made Pumpkin Hollow a little more slick but it wasn't anything a rear diff locked Bronco couldn't handle. After Pumpkin we talked and decided to try and outrun the rain storm and continue our way to Old Fincastle Road. We stopped back at the rest area for a quick bathroom break, then we seen some of the other group which was pretty cool and we picked up Chris (Bronco5o) with his Matte Black Bronco on 37s, he's going to go run Fincastle with us. We all stack up and head out to Old Fincastle Rd. It’s a pretty scenic drive in the way to the top of Fincastle, we were running it South which is down hill, makes it much easier but still a fun obstacle in a Bronco on 35s. Plus everything was wet now and getting slicker by the minute. But we all still did just fine the Bronco is a great off-road vehicle right of the box. We made it through Fincastle and drove out scenic Hells Creek Rd back to hwy 11 and that ended our day.
