Thanksgiving Ride

Thanksgiving Ride Trail Report

The weather turned out great, especially considering it started off in the 20s. It was a bit breezy while we were on Clifton, but overall, the conditions were fantastic thanks to the sunny skies.

At the meeting spot, we talked and decided to tackle some northern sections of the DBBB. Our route included Forest Road 1085, Brushy Fork, Clifton, and Pumpkin Hollow to wrap up the day. It worked out perfectly, and the trails couldn’t have been better. The water crossings on Brushy Fork had a few deeper spots, but nothing unmanageable. That said, after a heavy rain, this trail might be a little too deep to cross safely. Clifton and Pumpkin Hollow had some slick areas, but nothing too tricky.

The ride was a blast, thanks to an awesome group of people. I’m already looking forward to a winter ride!
